The Corner Kitchen - 30 years and still fresh

The Corner Kitchen opened its first venue in April of 1978 located in Hull Quebec.

Offering from scratch baked goods, soups and sandwiches was well received and within a year CK moved to larger premises.

Expansion continued in 1980 with a second store in Hull and locations added in downtown Ottawa, Winnipeg and Calgary.

Bread making at the wholesale and retail level added another dimension to the business experience.

Several locations were sold to interested parties including the Winnipeg, Calgary and select sites in Ottawa. These locations remain in operation today under private ownership.

Business focus in the 90’s saw CK add managed foodservices to the retail operations that  included serving the Adobe Canada, Ottawa campus.

CK was recently awarded the contract to provide managed foodservices for the NRC, Ottawa campus including 4 serveries, catering, beverage programs and vending services.
